Hello everyone,
I would like to cover or enhance the wall in my garden in some way.
I was thinking about using wall cladding panels, which are available for both interior and exterior use. For the top of the wall, I would need to find a suitable coping slab.
Has anyone done something like this before? It should work similarly on a wall as it does on an interior wall, right?

I would need to measure, but I estimate it is about 1 meter (3 feet) high.

Thanks!

Could you also tell me if you treated the ground beforehand or how you proceeded to ensure everything holds properly?

Sorry, I just saw your message now. I only primed the substrate with a bonding primer, nothing special. The cladding panels themselves were installed using a tile adhesive from a tiler friend. That’s all there was to it. So far, it’s holding very well. Installing them was a bit tricky because I didn’t want to start from the bottom to avoid cutting pieces at the top. Fortunately, the measurements fit quite well. I nailed a 3m (10 ft) straightedge to the wall and aligned the panels from there up to the top, always two rows stacked. Once those were fixed, I removed the straightedge and continued.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Many thanks!!

I was thinking about having the wall plastered, but if it only requires primer under the cladding, you might be able to skip it every 2 meters (6.5 feet) 😀.. For example, we wanted 2 meters (6.5 feet) of cladding, then 2 meters (6.5 feet) painted white, and alternate like that to create a more varied look. In front of the white walls, large plants, and by the cladding, small flower beds in front..

Our wall is 22 meters (72 feet) wide on one side and another 17 meters (56 feet) on the other..

I had also considered something like this, not covering everything completely. It probably looks good as well. Make sure the cladding you choose is suitable for exterior use.
Good luck with that.

Keep in mind that breaking it up into sections can actually emphasize the size even more.
