Hello,

can someone tell me if this is asbestos or not? We have it on our ceiling as roof construction panels.

Thanks and best regards,
Rüdi

Asbestos in construction materials has been banned for 21 years. Are these panels older or newer? Nothing can be identified from the pictures. Please post exactly what is written on them.

Hello,

on the picture I posted, the description says: PA III 4.6 LAYER 3 MPA DIN 4102-A2 non-combustible... The production date is, I believe, from 1994...

As far as I can tell, even though I have no expertise, it is not asbestos, right?

Thanks & best regards
Rüdi

From DIN onwards, the text refers to the fire protection rating of the board.
MPA stands for Materials Testing Institute.
PA III indicates a test certificate.
Somehow, you still need the manufacturer or the test certificate number. It could possibly be perlite, which is definitely asbestos-free. But given the production year, it is probably asbestos-free as well.
