Hello everyone,
I am planning to install carpet flooring in the bedroom. This way, it won’t feel as cold underfoot, and I can walk around barefoot more comfortably. We have underfloor heating, and my question is:
Does carpet act as an insulator or does it allow the heat to pass through?
Thank you very much for your answers.

There have been good developments, and almost every carpet is now suitable for underfloor heating. Manufacturers have made significant progress, and I have also found a good carpet. I also think that a carpet works particularly well in the bedroom.

In our bedroom, we use small runners and bedside rugs, which are completely sufficient and also feel warm underfoot. We also wear slippers at home, so the only important area is where you step out of bed.
