Sandraholster-124 Jul 2015 17:02Hello everyone,
I am planning to install carpet flooring in the bedroom. This way, it won’t feel as cold underfoot, and I can walk around barefoot more comfortably. We have underfloor heating, and my question is:
Does carpet act as an insulator or does it allow the heat to pass through?
Thank you very much for your answers.

Personally, I don’t think that’s a good idea. Now my question is, do you want to cover the entire room with carpet?
I think smaller rugs or runners are better.
Wouldn’t that be enough?

bastian-117 Aug 2015 11:39There are carpets that are suitable for underfloor heating. I wouldn’t categorically deny that. Just check online, as manufacturers present their products there.
We also have carpet and underfloor heating in the bedroom. The carpet is fully glued down, and in winter, it keeps the feet warm.
