Hello everyone,

I have the following issue:

We are currently planning to renovate/refurbish all the windows in our old building, but we want to make our windows as burglar-resistant as possible (due to a past break-in). Do you have any tips or know of reliable companies that specialize in this? So far, we haven’t found any trustworthy firms.

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

RC 5 windows plus the FeBa clamp. I’m also having roller shutters with lift protection installed. Better safe than sorry :-(..
Just curious: why RC 5? Do you have so many valuables to protect that you expect a potential burglar to use power tools like jigsaws or angle grinders despite the risk of being noticed?

Hello everyone,

I am new here and would like to get some advice from you. I want to install additional window security on my windows. Next week, I have an appointment with a security specialist in Bonn / locksmith service.

I am not familiar with security systems at all and would like to know which ones you already have and which you would recommend.

Thanks for any advice

Best regards

As already mentioned, there is a cooperation between the police and companies that can meet certain standards. Locally, this would be Biffar (as far as I know); it is also available in Bonn.

Information is certainly available on the police website.

Additionally, as already mentioned in this thread, I can recommend consulting the local police for advice.

On one hand, a professional comes who provides guidance based on their own and their colleagues’ experience. On the other hand – and this is, in my opinion, very important – the police advisor has no commercial interest. They do not earn anything from their recommendations, as they receive their salary from the government.

I was confident that the police advisor offers OBJECTIVE advice.

Simply visit the local police homepage (in the nearest larger city) to look for consultation services and arrange an appointment.

I can fully agree with that.

Although this is an older thread, I’d like to share my input! If you need advice, you can also consult a locksmith. I personally ordered a security inspection, and after checking, I decided to reinforce the windows and doors with mushroom-head locks. For the front door, I installed a five-point bolt locking system and am considering adding an alarm system as well, but I still need to think that over carefully.
