Maier GmbH10 Jun 2008 19:16So, personally, I did the wallpapering myself at first, laid the tiles, and installed part of the electrical wiring. I also laid the carpets myself. One room has parquet flooring. After two years, I also insulated the basement separately together with a friend.

Maier GmbH10 Jun 2008 22:04It depends on your own skills. In our case, I was lucky that one of my brothers trained as an electrician and the other as a heating and plumbing specialist. Additionally, my grandfather, who was a master painter, was a great help. With that kind of support, you can do quite a lot.
However, if you are completely inexperienced, it will be difficult to do more than painting walls and possibly wallpapering.
