ᐅ Brightly Lighting a Basement with Natural Sunlight | Light Well or Similar Solutions

world-eHello everyone,
I am interested in learning about the options for bringing natural sunlight into a basement.
More specifically, my question concerns ways to make window wells brighter than usual or using special window wells. Light wells are unfortunately not possible with these windows. Would it be feasible to install walkable glass panels instead of grates over the window wells? Or is there a way to use something like light tubes or solar light collectors (potentially mountable similarly to a window well and without needing to be fully cast into the basement walls during construction)?
It would be great if anyone has useful insights on this topic or can even recommend specific systems. Thank you very much.

try searching on Google for the "Heliobus Daylight" system.
These are special light shafts from Switzerland that use mirror technology to bring daylight into basement rooms.
A really neat solution, although somewhat expensive...

Dirk

However, in my opinion, glare should only occur if the sun is almost directly overhead...
