We are considering installing two-tone windows. A colored film is applied on the outside of the plastic windows.

Now I am wondering about the durability of such a film. How will it look after 10, 20, or more years? Does the film fade or even peel off in some areas?

Does anyone know if the films used are any good, or is it better to save the money?

Some issues are simply unpredictable in large projects. You can never completely rule them out. I don’t understand why this should persist. I have never heard of a perfect build.

That doesn’t really exist either – but it is noticeable that you’ve quite spontaneously asked about things that would normally be planned in advance.

That has little to do with unforeseen issues.

However, if it really bothers you that much, you could consider adding a film overlay. I would suggest waiting for about six months first to see if it truly is that much of a problem...

I would check with the window manufacturer about the available options, the costs involved, and what warranty coverage is provided.
