Hello everyone, I have a question where I would really appreciate your experience: What is the best way to clean IKEA METOD kitchen fronts without causing scratches or discoloration of the surface?
I have already tried several cleaning products, but often there are unpleasant marks left behind or the fronts look streaky afterward. Since the surfaces are often made of plastic or laminated, I donât want to damage them, but they also need to be cleaned thoroughly.
Which cleaning methods or products can you recommend? Are there any home remedies that work without harming the fronts? I am especially interested in how you deal with stubborn stains â how do you clean them without risk?

Really good thread here! đ Iâd like to add: Sometimes I add a splash of lemon juice to the water (not too much!), as it gently disinfects and helps remove grease stains. Afterwards, itâs very important to wipe the surface thoroughly with clean water, otherwise the acid can damage the surface.
If youâre ever really unsure, always test cleaning products on the back side of a panel or door, where small damages arenât visible but you can be sure itâs safe.
And donât worry, METOD fronts are more durable than you might think â as long as you take proper care!
