Hello everyone,

I am interested in the Ikea Pax furniture system and am specifically looking for wardrobe solutions with particularly high load capacity. My question is: Are there versions or special designs within the Ikea Pax range that offer above-average weight-bearing capabilities, for example, to hold very heavy clothing, a large number of shoes, or even for use as storage for heavy items?

I am also interested in details such as the maximum load ratings for shelves, the sides of the wardrobe, or any additional reinforcements that Ikea officially offers or that you would recommend based on your experience.

Thanks in advance for your insights and recommendations!

I’m looking for a combination that maximizes the load capacity of floors, side panels, and rods without having to buy a completely different system.

Hey, you can easily achieve that with a bit of DIY effort!

I’ve screwed metal brackets under the floors before, and that really makes a difference! And for the rods – small additional supports in the middle are worth their weight in gold.

Don’t be afraid to load it more than what Ikea specifies. Of course, do everything carefully, but I find that Pax is a real workhorse when you put a little effort into it.

So: not just furniture, but friends for everyday loads! Good luck!!
