Hello everyone, I am currently considering purchasing an Ikea Brimnes wardrobe, but I have some concerns about the quality and potential weak points that are sometimes mentioned in forums or reviews. My question for the community is: Are there any common recurring issues with the Ikea Brimnes wardrobes, especially regarding material quality, stability, workmanship, or the functionality of the doors and drawers? I would greatly appreciate concrete experiences, tips to avoid problems, and advice on typical areas prone to faults, so I can make an informed buying decision. Thank you in advance!

I can fully understand how important stability is to you. A year ago, I also bought a Brimnes wardrobe for clothing, and although I was initially skeptical, the piece of furniture has held up well so far. There was one occasion when a drawer became a bit stiff, but after tightening the screws and briefly cleaning the sliding track, the problem was resolved. It is important not to force doors open when they are stuck and to avoid using the wardrobe doors as climbing frames for children.

Overall, I feel that the weak points are more related to assembly and usage rather than the product itself. If you notice any issues after a few weeks or months, targeted adjustments or an exchange usually help.

Feel free to keep us updated on how it goes for you!
