Hello everyone, I am currently planning to equip my small laundry room with an Ikea Pax wardrobe system and wondered if anyone has experience using Pax in humid rooms.
Specifically, I am interested in how durable the materials are under high humidity, whether there are weak points in the cabinet doors or interior, and how it performs in long-term use. For example, are there issues with swelling or fittings that rust quickly?
I would also appreciate any advice on whether additional measures like special coatings, seals, or ventilation elements are needed to extend the cabinet’s lifespan. Thanks in advance!

It would be interesting to know what precautions you have taken or if you check that part regularly for moisture EVERY DAY.For furniture in damp rooms, regular inspection is always advisable, especially at edges and fittings.
Alternatively, cabinet interiors can be lined with low-maintenance, water-repellent materials to minimize damage.
One more tip: if possible, avoid placing the cabinet directly against exterior walls, where cold surfaces and therefore condensation occur more frequently.
