since we are currently working on plastering the walls (tile wallpaper yes/no), I am wondering whether settlement cracks occur in every building or if it depends on the soil beneath the building. We are building on rock/slate (ground category 7), and the civil engineer already told me that we will never have problems with stability. But how does it work with settlement cracks?
