That doesn’t really surprise me. 33,000 subsidies aren’t many, and even without deal-seekers in leased cars, they disappear quickly. After the whole KfW55 house situation, people are now aware that applications need to be submitted as fast as possible.

It’s quite logical. If someone has money, they either stay at home and/or have someone at home or externally managing the money 😉

Plus the requirement to already own an electric car ...

No one who honestly works for their money is going to buy an electric car including a wall box, solar panels, and a battery storage system before receiving any subsidies.
The funding therefore goes to the top 5-10%, and the AfD benefits on top... if this continues, out of pure frustration with the nonsense of such “subsidies,” I might even vote for AfD myself...

At least donate part of the money you don’t really need to something meaningful... do it at least for your karma...
Because YOU definitely do not need this subsidy 150%...

I just spoke with KfW by phone. The email is binding and represents an approval.

Wow. Thank you very much. Did they say anything about why the email was received even though the application supposedly was never sent out?

So far, no clear answer except that they are still struggling with issues. Among the many “oops” moments, some applications did get processed. I didn’t discuss much more. So the paid hotline of KFW was not just an automated phone service.
