Has anyone here also applied for the KfW 442 solar power subsidy for electric cars?
When did it work?
Which number did you receive? Just the thousands digit of 442 000000XXXXXX is enough.

Did you receive a confirmation email? Yes/No
Did you get the confirmation in the KfW portal? Yes/No

Do I understand correctly that you cannot move for at least 6 years? That means the house cannot be sold or rented out? The tenant could also have an electric car and continue to use the system. And how does KfW monitor this—do you have to submit a report on the usage every year?

Any kind of subsidy or financial support disrupts markets that were functioning well before.
Photovoltaic systems are already significantly supported through the general reduction of value-added tax. This has developed positively and has truly lowered prices sustainably.

The eligible all-in-one packages offered here will hardly result in cost savings, as they are likely to increase prices again. Everything must be done by a single company, which will make it more expensive anyway. Perhaps without subsidies it is possible to reach the goal faster and more cheaply. Not necessarily, but it’s possible.

It is like the subsidies for wallboxes. They all suddenly cost around 900 euros because the subsidized amount was also 900 euros. Today, a wallbox no longer costs 300 euros. The subsidies were available even without owning an electric vehicle. I personally had approval for 2 wallboxes but did not claim the subsidy. I don’t need them now and not in the foreseeable future.

Usually, these programs cause more frustration than satisfaction. I am more in favor of supporting everyone, even if it means a smaller subsidy per person, rather than a few lucky beneficiaries.

Have you already submitted the application or is this planned for 2024?

When you live in your dream home, you don’t move.

You have to report any changes yourself. Then you simply repay if moving becomes necessary. The photovoltaic system including battery storage and charging station increases the property value or, if necessary, the rent/utilities.

I was actually planning to try in 2024. However, my job might require me to move within the next few years. It would be quite frustrating if the entire subsidy had to be repaid then. Without the subsidy, I would definitely do without the battery storage and the second wallbox.

My system has been approved and already paid for by KFW.

I have a question here.

Are the earnings paid to me by the utility provider considered income on my tax declaration? I understand that I cannot claim the installation of the system for tax purposes.

No, not anymore. I assume you have not opted for VAT either, so you probably don’t have to do anything at all. I still have to deal with VAT (older system, but I can’t switch yet).
