Last week, I purchased a kitchen from IKEA. One of the components was the LAGAN BF 275 range hood. Since my kitchen does not have an external vent, it is supposed to operate in recirculation mode, which requires an activated carbon filter (Item No.: 101.745.56) that was not in stock at the store.
When I checked to see if it was available yet, I noticed that this type of filter is not available at any of the IKEA stores in Berlin. Even worse, there is no information about when it will be back in stock:
"This item is currently not available at your store. The expected delivery date is unknown.
This item is also available online. Simply add the product to your cart."
However, a shipping fee of €86.00 (approximately $86.00) is automatically charged for online orders.
It is noticeable that this filter is only available in very few IKEA stores.
Are they possibly discontinuing accessories for products that are still listed in their current range?
If so, is there an alternative source where I can buy a compatible filter? Otherwise, I will probably have to throw the range hood away before I even get a chance to use it.
