Hello forum community,
We have two construction companies competing, both building with Poroton and external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS).
Company 1 uses 18 cm (7 inches) blocks plus ETICS.
Company 2 uses 24 cm (9.5 inches) blocks plus ETICS.
My question is, how significant is the difference? Are there any disadvantages to the 18 cm (7 inches) blocks? Or does that option provide better insulation?
Thank you!
Best regards

We are currently building with 24cm (9.5 inches) "Eder P14"; 12cm (4.7 inches) of external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS) is sufficient for the Efficiency House 55 standard.
