Hello everyone,
we have a half-turn concrete staircase inside the house (see pictures). Instead of a steel railing, we would like to have a wooden balustrade with a wooden handrail installed (see sample image).
It should be done as a drywall construction, but the drywall contractor recommended by the construction company does not do this.
Is it technically difficult or complicated? Are there any disadvantages later on (unstable, breaks easily, etc.)?
Does anyone have experience with this?

Thank you very much!
Best regards

The sample image shows an MDF wood construction as a parapet, not drywall.

Geometric concrete staircase in a bright interior, taken diagonally from above.

Here is an alternative design in a somewhat slimmer form, made from painted steel plates. The individual plates were welded together on site.

Problematic? No. Labor-intensive? Yes.

A lot of space is also lost due to the construction.

Alternatively, have it built from aerated concrete blocks like Ytong. That would be my first choice.
