Hello,

what are the best ways to save gas or reduce the impact of soaring energy prices? Showering together doesn’t really save 50% on energy...
Is it possible to save energy with water heating? Our tank with 160 liters (42 gallons) is probably a typical size for two people. The water temperature set at 60 degrees Celsius (140°F) is also within the normal range...

How do you manage this?

Any attentive reader knows that even a poodle generates quite a bit of heat!

The attentive reader sees nothing but air.

… that would already be the seventh one in our white village 😉

We are now also opening the interior doors of the rooms that are exposed to direct sunlight. This way, the warm air can spread into the neighboring rooms as well.

It’s not that we aren’t heating… the hope for October is three! Tea lights!
Have I mentioned that our children have over 20 bakeries? … for now 😕

I’m not allowed to tell anyone what I first thought when I read “over 20 bakeries.” 😀
What do they do there that children aren’t allowed inside? 😀

Otherwise, like most people, we’re saving by turning the heating down and wearing warmer clothes. Honestly, so far I don’t find it too bad. I like having lots of warm blankets in bed—it’s very cozy. It’s just getting up in the morning that’s tough.

Haha… no, they even have a kids’ baking kitchen for events. But they’re definitely running around trying to figure out who bakes what and when. They also can’t pass all the extra costs on to the customers… we don’t even want to ask anymore 😳
