Hello,

what is the best way to seal the four HT pipes? Standard HT caps unfortunately do not fit because the connections have been cut off.

Are there other types of caps available? Or should I just use rags? My idea was to use expanding foam. Is there any reason against this? It just doesn’t look very neat.

Thanks!
Marius

Where does it lead to on the other side, the foundation slab?

The most expensive option is sealing rings like those used for multi-utility house entries, but I believe everything has to be redone then...

If it’s inside to inside, I would use PU foam as you suggested. It’s not exactly neat (but better than tape), although in my experience you won’t even notice it after two days.

Segment seals (Doyma SG or an equivalent from Krömer or similar) would be my preferred option here. Nothing needs to be removed, as they are designed to be split accordingly. However, with the chosen type of building entry, one should consider whether it still meets the current state of the art.

Just leave it as is, it will disappear on its own…

No spiders, worms, or rats will come in either.

Why don’t any animals come inside? They can crawl through the conduit, right?
What are the downsides of using expanding foam?

If that happens, you should seriously reconsider all technical aspects of the house. Why?
Animals getting inside means it’s not sealed properly from the outside, which also means a lot of rain and moisture can enter the house (besides the critters).

This is just about appearance, nothing more.
