Hello everyone,
during my house construction, the sidewalk slabs were damaged by excavation work carried out by the contractors.
The city already asked me back in November 2019 to restore the sidewalk to a "safe" condition.
Over the past two years, there were several reasons why I couldn’t focus on the sidewalk... but this year it’s scheduled to be paved along with my driveway, etc.

Now a resident reported me to the city and, of course, also took photos.
As a result, I received a letter from the city giving me a 10-day deadline to repair the sidewalk.

10 days?
Is this deadline period legally valid? I will call a few companies and ask, but I don’t think I’ll get an on-site appointment within the next 10 days.

And yes, maybe I neglected the issue, but I really intended to finally take care of it this year.
What would you do?

Request an extension of the deadline?

Responsible but not the cause. I would still try contacting the source of the issue, even after some time has passed.

I would have done that already 2.5 years ago. After such a long time, it’s probably not worth the effort.

I’m still waiting for the pictures.
