ᐅ How much water does a concrete slab contractor typically require?

Unfortunately, we are having serious difficulties obtaining construction water. For reasons unknown to us, the contact person responsible for us at the relevant association made commitments three times for a specific calendar week but failed to fulfill any of them. Each time, only after we followed up, a new promise was made—which, like the previous ones, was not kept. As a result, it seems we will no longer receive construction water from the association and are now looking into renting a water trailer for transport. (We can’t risk upsetting the “water worker” by asking again, since he will be responsible for inspecting our house at the end and could delay our move-in by months or even years if he chooses to.)
--> Does anyone know approximately how much water a concrete slab installer might need? And yes, we’ve already asked the installer but have not yet received any information. The concrete slab is about 10 x 10 m (33 x 33 ft).
Thanks in advance to all of you. Often, I don’t know what I would do without your valuable tips, advice, and suggestions.

The concrete mixer carries its own water for cleaning its equipment. What does he need the water for?

What does he need the water for? I will ask during the meeting on Monday. Thanks for the tip.

At first, we placed and filled an IBC container. That lasted a very long time, and then we just refilled it. Good idea. It seems easier to get an IBC container than a water tanker truck, which I have so far unsuccessfully searched for in the area. I will also discuss this with the foundation contractor on Monday.

Can’t you rent a standpipe where you are? The standpipe is exactly our problem. Apparently, only the sewage authority is allowed to install it, and they gave us appointment dates for three weeks that they simply canceled without excuse or feedback. I don’t know why. From your experience, is any plumbing company allowed to install standpipes?

Or just borrow a hose from the neighbor for a tenner or so. We don’t know the neighbors yet.

We don’t know the neighbors yet.Bake a cake, ring the doorbell, apologize in advance for the upcoming construction noise, compliment the garden, discuss the shared boundary design... There are many good reasons to meet your neighbors early and in a friendly way. 😉M

The issue with the standpipe is exactly our problem. Apparently, only the wastewater association is allowed to install it, and they gave us appointments over three weeks which they then canceled without apology or explanation. I don’t know why. Or, to your knowledge, is any plumbing company allowed to install standpipes?
We don’t know the neighbors yet.We picked up the standpipe from the water utility and connected it ourselves to the hydrant. For that, you receive a special key. After use, it just needs to be removed again.
