ᐅ Experience with roller shutter control using Shelly 2.5?

Hello,
First of all, we consciously decided against a full smart home system but would like to be able to control some of our electric roller shutters via smartphone or voice commands. (It was a cost issue, and our general contractor didn’t really have the expertise for it.) I came across the Shelly 2.5 devices.
Are they recommended? Are there better alternatives in the same price range?
Is there anything to consider with traditionally wired roller shutters that have switches at the room entrance? Since our shell construction is still in progress, we could still take some things into account if necessary.
Thanks for any information.

So with this, there would be no difference anymore (except for the specific operation) between a push button and a switch when used with the Shelly, right?
They have thought of everything at Shelly.
I still think that in this case, push buttons are the nicer solution. Tap up – done. Tap down – done.
The funny changing switch positions would drive my inner perfectionist crazy.

I would feel the same way.
Is it really the case that without a Shelly device behind the switch it wouldn't work properly? Would you actually have to hold the button down?

Yes, because the roller shutter motor is simple and only runs when powered. The "convenience" is then handled by the Shelly.

I feel you. That’s just not acceptable 😱

Yes. That’s why I mentioned earlier that it’s best to install those devices right away, or later, depending on how perfectionist you are, replace all the switches with push buttons. The operation logic then is long press = move, short press = stop, or if you have roller shutters = stop/louvre adjustment.

What about the Shelly Switch 1? At least that one fits into the electrical box.

What is the author trying to tell us? The 2.5 is actually even a bit flatter than the 1.
