ᐅ Is it possible to have outward-opening windows with shutters?

Hello everyone,
I’m new here and trying my hand at my first post. We are planning to build our house next year. We are considering constructing a log house (with straight log beams). We would like windows that open outward, but also shutters. Does anyone have experience with this? Are there any proven solutions? Historically, this was common in Northern Europe. Thank you very much for your suggestions.

Then I suggest you face reality. Both the thermal insulation regulations and the current situation in the timber market can only faintly sympathize with such dreams. While modern solid wood construction is possible (using other methods), building with sawn full logs is no longer feasible. The desired look can still be achieved.

... we are aware of that. Perhaps I did not express myself clearly enough. It will be a wooden house from Leonwood with double walls (internal cork insulation). I only wanted to indicate this for aesthetic reasons, to clarify that it is not going to be a log house.

Are there any suggestions or tips regarding the idea with the windows (which is actually the main point)? I have the feeling that this is a niche topic that not every window manufacturer can handle, right?

Motor-driven shutters, done.

Danish window manufacturers do this as a standard option. You can order it online. You just have to operate the shutters from the outside or install an electric mechanism. However, this will also cause issues with insect screens.
