Hi,
How would you lay the parquet flooring in this apartment layout? Uniformly across the light direction in the living room, or uniformly along it? The parquet will be installed uniformly, meaning there are no plans to change the orientation in different rooms. It is also decided that the hallway and kitchen areas will have parquet, just to clarify that in advance.
Best regards,
Maria

Personally, I always find diagonally laid flooring to be “deliberately different,” and I consider it unnecessary and a bit silly.I like herringbone patterns – they also have a diagonal aspect, but they rarely fit well in the typically small rooms of single-family homes.manohara schrieb:
In our case, my wife and the parquet installer had their way, and the wood fiber insulation is laid diagonally. For herringbone, I would also find an orthogonal layout semi-crazy.https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

At our place, my wife and the parquet installer insisted on installing the wood fiber insulation diagonally...How else would you lay herringbone without it looking "special"? That is the standard installation direction, just like you have it.
