Hello everyone,
I need to get 2 shower enclosures (each 120cm (48 inches)) installed:
- Walk-in for the main bathroom
- Sliding door for the guest bathroom
Which brand or supplier did you choose? How thick should the glass be?
At the hardware store, prices range from 300 to 1000 euros.
On eBay, I find offers starting at about 150 euros (Far East seller, shipping from Germany).
What has your experience been like?
Thank you for your answers.

For my first renovation, I bought a cheap one from eBay, but it was a full shower enclosure... a disaster. I still regret it today. Now I would either go with a well-known brand (Schulte) or ask a glazier (we had several mirrors custom-made) — they weren’t excessively expensive for the size... I already got a quote from a local glazier for myself: €1,300 for a 130cm (51 inches) wide niche with a 90cm (35 inches) wide door and a 40cm (16 inches) fixed panel. 8mm (0.3 inch) thick glass, sealed on the inside. Installation included.

I suspect there is still some room for a lower price while maintaining good quality.

I’d guess there’s still some room to negotiate down while maintaining good quality.Tak mal tiak! Two more requests have already been sent, but no feedback has returned through their stargate yet.
Hello,
I’m also interested and looking for an affordable partition.
It doesn’t have to be a top model, since it’s for my rental property.
I recently saw something on eBay for under 300 €.
I need a corner solution, 80 x 80cm (31 x 31 inches), for a standard shower tray, either one fixed panel and a swinging door or two swinging doors.
Regards, Olli
