Hello forum community,
I’m not sure if this is just complaining at a high level or justified frustration.
We are only partly satisfied with the tile installer’s workmanship from the contractor.
Here are three examples:
1. Toilet fixture pre-wall corner with Jolie trim strip is untidy
2. Generally, corners with Jolie finishing strips are untidy
3. Decorative tiles are frayed/chipped when cut
A credit is one thing, repairs another. However, we are sure that the tile installers have already done their best here.
Does it even make sense to raise any complaints, or is everything within the so-called “tolerance range”?
Good luck

This could definitely have been done more neatly. I don’t understand why the trims were cut on the track :-( It’s really disappointing what some people deliver. @superzapp
You all may have a point. Desires are sparked in the tile showroom, and the local tradesperson accepts them. However, I expect the tradesperson to be upfront and clearly explain what is realistically achievable and what isn’t. At least he clearly stated that he couldn’t cut the baseboards mitred.
Overall, we are very satisfied with the floor tiles (140m² (1507 sq ft)). In the bathroom, you might be able to overlook the few frayed edges. @ypg: attached is another photo without backlighting.
What annoys us the most is this Jolie trim on the toilet partition wall. Here, the tiler with a standard trim could have delivered a visually better result.
Does anyone have any practical, workable advice?

And if it is, you could simply place a flower pot with a climbing plant on top.The wall looks good visually anyway.
It’s not great. After all, it’s not just 100€.
We had a similar case ourselves. The tiler didn’t know the word “precise.” We asked for corrections, but he refused and wanted to cover everything up with silicone.
Since we were only waiting on the bathroom to move in, we agreed on a credit note. It was 60% of the remaining amount, and he should learn from it. There was also a less-than-stellar review, which still stands today!
Just have a straightforward conversation with the contractor.
