Hello,
I’m new here and have a question.
We are currently planning to build a house.
The architect now needs to know where the ceiling spotlights should be placed for the construction plan.
Since it is a concrete ceiling, the holes for the spotlights need to be prepared in advance.
I have created a preliminary location sketch for the spotlights and would appreciate your feedback. There will be no lighting in the hallway because that area is an open space, and a hanging lamp will be installed there instead.

Grundrissplan: Wohn- und Essbereich mit Küche und Flur

to check if everything fits.

Thank you

We currently prefer subtle, adjustable surface-mounted lights in the living room for general lighting.

Terrible, we have Paulmann spotlights with brushed aluminum 😉

The important point, regardless of taste:

If you want to recess something into the ceiling, you need to decide now which spotlights or recessed lights you will use. Otherwise, the hole will be the wrong size.

This is only partially true. Usually, slightly larger halogen housing cans are installed, which are then closed off with a fiberboard panel. You can then cut out the necessary hole as needed. Of course, this has its limits. You won’t be able to fit a 20cm (8 inches) shop light in there anymore :-D

Exactly, I was referring to larger rectangular light fixtures, if that’s what you want.

Something different. Is the WC window next to the front door really supposed to have a sill height of 0? I imagine that would be quite uncomfortable.
