Hello everyone,
our house planning is gradually taking a more concrete shape.
We’re still having some trouble figuring out the layout of the main bathroom.
Since all the main rooms will be on the ground floor, the bathroom is quite small (3.55 m x 2.20 m (11 ft 8 in x 7 ft 3 in)).
The following elements should be included:
  • Walk-in shower
  • Sink unit about 80 cm (31 inches) wide
  • Bathtub
  • Toilet
  • Towel radiator

The door should remain where it is currently marked.
The window could be shifted to the left or right or resized.
The interior partition walls are ideally made of glass and approximately 2 m (6 ft 7 in) high.
What do you think of this design?
Maybe you have some ideas or suggestions?
Oh, and it’s just the two of us, and there is also a small guest bathroom with a shower.
I have attached a draft for reference.

Thanks in advance and best regards,
Olli

Hello,
somehow we prefer the more "angular" design.
And the tiles will be the next topic for discussion. 😉
The basic design is already fairly set:
dark floor tiles (possibly brown wood look), pure white matte elements, light/white wall tiles, at least for now.

😱
But please, not such a 1980s-style corner bathtub!

But definitely not one of those 1980s corner bathtubs!
Come on, we’re getting older too 🙂
What’s so bad about it?
Something round doesn’t really fit, but we once saw one at a bathroom showroom that looked really nice and modern – not sure if it was one of those 1980s tubs you mean.
Cheers, Olli

You are as old as you feel.
But that's not the point: you are building a new house, and there are countless options.
I'm not a fan of round shapes either, but forms do support each other.

Hello,
now that our bathroom planning for the new house has taken shape, the next project is coming up soon…

In our house near Hanover, a tenant change is scheduled soon, and we want to use this time to do some renovations, including the bathroom.

We’re looking for ideas here.
The first picture shows the current layout.
The wall opposite the door is a sloped ceiling with a Velux window.
In the second picture, you can see our proposed changes.
The wall between the shower and toilet is planned to be half-height masonry (or a wall-hung toilet system frame), with a glass panel on top.
What do you think about this?

Best regards, Olli

Good idea to hide the toilet a bit.

But in a rental apartment, I would skip that. Where is the sewage pipe / soil stack? To avoid running the larger toilet pipe across the room (also because of the slope), I would keep everything in its current place.
