We are currently in the planning phase for our single-family home in the south of Hamburg.

We are designing a somewhat more complex electrical installation for our house:

* KNX bus system
* DALI bus system for the lighting
* Control of the underfloor heating
* Control of the shading
* ...

The planning for the locations of switches, sockets, motion detectors, etc., as well as the routing of cables and the design of the distribution cabinet, is already quite advanced.

To save costs and out of personal interest, we want to carry out a large portion of the electrical installation ourselves. Due to my degree in electrical engineering, I feel confident handling many aspects on my own.

Since we are building with an architect, we are generally quite flexible, but I am still wondering how to best find a contractor who is open to partial DIY work?

Maybe someone here even has a recommendation for a company in our area?

I would definitely handle the entire KNX programming myself.

Furthermore, I can imagine doing all the cable routing or even the electrical panel installation on my own.

I consider that realistic.

I see that as unrealistic.

You need to leave some work for your yet-to-be-found partner. If they are at least allowed to do the flush-mounted installation and possibly the electrical panel, they will most likely be more willing to agree. Otherwise, I don’t see much chance.

That's why I said "or" :-). Of course, the trade company should also make a profit from the project.

Our agreement was that we would purchase the materials through him.

Well...
Then there won't be much work left.
You could also mark everything yourself, order materials, and do the chases.

In that case, I would take on everything myself and just ask a company to handle only the inspections,
so you can get the official approval stamp.
Maybe something like:
1. Inspection of cable installation on the ground floor
2. Inspection of cable installation on the upper floor
3. Inspection upon completion of the electrical cabinet
4. Final inspection
