I am currently focusing a lot on kitchen planning.
I am considering an integrated automatic coffee machine.
Do you have one, and would you choose it again?
Can you recommend a specific model or share tips on what to look out for?
And the most important question: how is maintenance and cleaning handled?
For example, does it need to be removed once a year for servicing?

Bertram10030 Jul 2020 09:23I am not a coffee drinker myself, so I cannot comment on the quality of coffee from the various systems. However, it seems quite silly to reject a sieve brewer just because of “too much work.” Taking the time to engage with what you consume brings much more satisfaction. The few minutes it takes can hardly be considered a valid argument.
Just a quick thought. I am quite surprised that some people give up the probably undisputed taste advantage due to the extra “work.”
I make coffee (for guests) using my grandmother’s porcelain filter placed on top of a cup. I grind the coffee beforehand with a manual grinder. I have never considered that to be work.

Wow, I didn’t realize the preheating time was so long. We usually just turn on the fully automatic coffee machine in the morning, and the cappuccino is ready right away. Usually that’s the only one for the day; my husband would like to have an espresso later. From your description, it sounds like it wouldn’t really be worth it for us.
@Shiny86 What bothers me about built-in appliances is that there are fewer options and they tend to be much more expensive. They look good visually, but only if all the built-in appliances are from the same series, so you basically have no choice if, for example, the oven is already fixed.

Controversial Topic: Coffee Preparation
As you can see, it’s important to consider where your priorities lie.
Every pot has its lid.
I love the ritual of making a cappuccino in the morning, and I’m happy to accept that it takes a bit longer.
However, I can also understand those who prefer to just press a button and be done.

Bertram10030 Jul 2020 10:16Yes, of course everyone can decide for themselves. I don’t really mind. I just wanted to point out as an outsider that the line of thinking seems somewhat detached from reality and comes across as quite silly to me. After cars, washing machines, supermarkets, refrigerators, and various other time-saving devices, now even coffee has to be brewed as quickly as possible. I don’t care, but to me this attitude definitely has some potential for humor, like in a Loriot sketch.
It doesn’t hurt to highlight this occasionally. Then people can reevaluate and form their own opinions. No problem.
