Our house was built in 2013... unfortunately, the rhombus-shaped cladding is not of the best quality, quite the opposite. The façade faces south, and the same cladding was used on the north side at the entrance, where it actually looks much better. Over the past few years, my husband has climbed the scaffolding twice to refresh the wood with some kind of stain or gel. ... The wood is too low-quality to just gray naturally; I believe it is spruce (unfortunately, during the selection process we only focused on price, not the wood quality. I constantly warn others about this in the forum).
Before we move forward with the new terrace roofing (regular readers will know what I mean), we want to replace the cladding with something that looks similar.
Any tips? We were thinking of WPC or a similar material for about 4.5sqm (48 sq ft).
Since today, we have a request posted on MyHammer.
What do you think?
What might the work cost?
Or does it not actually need replacing and is supposed to look cracked like this?

Color is a matter of personal taste, but overall it looks great. Of course, we want to know the price Call the color corten steel, and that will light up their eyesH
hampshire1 Jun 2020 21:37Thank you for the feedback. It’s always nice to see how a decision has turned out. It looks much tidier now. I actually thought the spruce, in its transitional state to gray, looked quite nice in the photos. Of course, I couldn’t spot any detailed issues.

I preferred the previous look better... well, on the other hand, it’s now low-maintenance and you never have to touch it again...I also really liked the wood.
But we had to think long-term since with the Terra roof there’s simply no way to maintain it. I definitely don’t want to see my husband on a scaffold at his age anymore.
I still find it quite original, and it suits the house.
Compared to that typical gray like RAL 7016, this is definitely an eye-catcher
