Our house was built in 2013... unfortunately, the rhombus-shaped cladding is not of the best quality, quite the opposite. The façade faces south, and the same cladding was used on the north side at the entrance, where it actually looks much better. Over the past few years, my husband has climbed the scaffolding twice to refresh the wood with some kind of stain or gel. ... The wood is too low-quality to just gray naturally; I believe it is spruce (unfortunately, during the selection process we only focused on price, not the wood quality. I constantly warn others about this in the forum).
Before we move forward with the new terrace roofing (regular readers will know what I mean), we want to replace the cladding with something that looks similar.
Any tips? We were thinking of WPC or a similar material for about 4.5sqm (48 sq ft).
Since today, we have a request posted on MyHammer.
What do you think?
What might the work cost?
Or does it not actually need replacing and is supposed to look cracked like this?

Larch? Then it will naturally turn gray, right? Then we won’t have to worry?
@Nordlys
Spruce.... we’ll have trouble sooner or later if we leave it like that, won’t we? We definitely don’t want to climb up there again... my poor husband is over 60 oops:Yes, larch will turn gray. You can even install it without any stain.
