Good evening,
three days ago we had four truckloads of clay soil removed from our garden.
Now we need to refill the garden with almost 50 tons of topsoil.
Using a wheelbarrow for this is quite hard work... Can I use a small loader for this?
I’m just worried that the loader will compact the soil too much, causing standing water in the garden again!
Or will it be okay if I loosen the compacted soil afterwards with a garden tiller?
Best regards,
Hari

and in the evening, the respective partners join, and there’s a barbecue. Definitely more fun than working with an excavator...
We distributed the soil back then using the dumper, meaning we made small piles first. Then we leveled it out. After letting it sit for a while, we used a rototiller, smoothed it out again, rolled it, and then sowed the lawn.
Depending on the size of the area, I would also simply use wheelbarrows.
