Hello everyone.

Does the insulation under the foundation slab need to be installed along the edge up to the formwork?

Attached are some photos. As a layperson, this doesn’t look quite right to me...

Some helpful answers would be much appreciated before everything gets backfilled tomorrow...

No cause for concern. I found out last night that we are building with a frost protection strip, and apparently everything is indeed correct.

Do you really want to start a new thread every day?
You should seriously consider consulting an independent expert soon! Your questions clearly show that this is necessary.

I don’t think it’s any of your business if/when/where I start a thread...

Still, not an entirely unjustified piece of advice. A few photos evaluated from a distance in a forum cannot really be compared to an expert who inspects the situation on site. The way the question is asked, with additional information provided later, also shows that you probably have not yet supplied all the necessary details related to the issue. This carries the risk that the comments in the forum may not be 100% accurate—ultimately to your disadvantage.

In the end, it is your decision. No reason to get short-tempered right away. It was a well-intentioned and valid tip from ready ...

In the picture showing the multi-utility house entry, you can see what appears to be a 10-euro note in the top left corner. At least, that’s what it looks like. So better grab it quickly before someone says “concrete advance.”
