Hello everyone,
so far this isn’t really a current topic, but maybe in 10 years.
Therefore:

Are you planning to include an electric vehicle charging station in your garage or driveway?
Better to add one now than possibly regret it in 10 years?

We will probably continue using diesel as before. Oh no, I now have a petrol car, so at least one vehicle can reach everywhere.

If we have a private electric car, a charging station will be installed. Not before that. Who knows what the situation or technology will be by then, which car will be used, etc.

An electric car as a company vehicle would be charged at the public charging station 200 meters (220 yards) from the house. That makes billing easier.

As an electric vehicle owner, I can tell you to prepare everything in advance. Only install the charging station once you actually have an electric car, because there are 4 to 5 types of charging plugs and you don’t know which car you will get with which plug.

Have a 32mm (1¼ inch) conduit installed; that thickness will be sufficient.

Westnetz is currently offering to install a charging station free of charge with the house connection.

Well, if it's free, why not.

Nothing in life is free.
Westnetz GmbH, the distribution network operator for innogy SE, is now supporting the installation of private charging infrastructure for electric mobility. Every new grid connection is free of charge if the customer agrees to grid-friendly control of their charging equipment. The only requirement for this so-called eMobility grid connection is that the connection length on the customer’s property is no longer than 30 meters (100 feet). Based on experience, this applies to approximately 95% of all new grid connections. There is no deadline for purchasing an electric vehicle or installing a charging station.

So, they don’t just hand out charging stations for free.

No one said it would be free... but rather free of charge.
