ᐅ Setting the underfloor heating – desired temperature preference

Hello dear forum,

I have the following problem in my new build.
My temperature sensor is turned all the way down.
However, I can’t tolerate the temperature in the living/dining room.
It is 25 degrees Celsius (77°F) here. How can that be?
I have already lowered the desired temperature setting on my boiler, but it doesn’t help.

I have one heating circuit for the kitchen, one for the dining room, and two for the living room. All open to one room. Is it correct or possible that all heating circuits are controlled by a single temperature sensor, or did they forget to install some?

Thank you very much!

I was wondering if it might make more sense to control not only based on the supply temperature but also on the return temperature.

My control system is capable of doing that.

The return temperature theoretically indicates the heating demand of the house.

Does anyone have experience with this?

As far as I know, the energy demand is calculated based on the supply temperature, return temperature, and volume flow.

Heat pumps are probably controlled by the return temperature.

That’s where my knowledge ends, though.

As an example:
Flow temperature 30°C (86°F), return temperature 25°C (77°F) (all fine)
Flow temperature 30°C (86°F), return temperature 28°C (82°F) (return temperature too high, flow temperature could be adjusted lower)
Flow temperature 30°C (86°F), return temperature 22°C (72°F) (return temperature too low, flow temperature could be adjusted higher)

Flow temperature 30°C (86°F), return temperature 28°C (82°F) (return temperature too high, might consider lowering the flow temperature)
This is what happened: I gradually lowered the heating curve to 0.3, but unfortunately the bathroom is now not warm enough. So it needs to be turned up a bit again.

Is the valve for the bathroom on the heating manifold now fully open?

Yes, it is fully open. The bathroom has a double casement window, and currently, it’s really cold tonight – minus 7°C (19°F).
