We are planning a bungalow.
Our builder has offered 1500 € for installing a relatively good satellite dish on the roof.
What do you think of this offer? If I do it myself, what would the cost be?
What is your suggestion?
Best regards

Of course, the price only includes the standard series, which is why it is called the standard series. This is because 99% of builders use it. A special series like Busch Dynastie naturally involves an additional cost. If the general contractor/building contractor is professional and there is mutual trust, then this works well. If not, then it’s the wrong general contractor/building contractor.

Slightly off-topic, but whenever I read "brand products like Berker, Gira, or glw," it just makes me cringe. [emoji51]
On the topic: I would estimate between 500 and 700. What exactly do you mean by a "relatively good satellite dish"? Unfortunately, I don’t have the name on hand. The developer has named the manufacturers of satellite dishes, but as I said, I can’t remember them offhand. I also don’t know which products are more expensive or cheaper, but when I look online, I see that a mid-range satellite dish costs around 200€ (about $220). From 1500€, that leaves 1300€ (about $1,430). Installation in the attic is included in the contract anyway. I think 1300€ (about $1,430) for the remaining parts is too expensive. That’s what I wanted to find out.

As I said, it’s advice to avoid stress beforehand. You don’t have to follow it.
And trust on a construction site...well...but I’m not going to start that discussion here....

As I said, it’s advice to help avoid stress upfront. You don’t have to take it.
And trust on a construction site... well... but I’m not starting that debate here....That’s exactly right, which is why I’m asking you all here [emoji6]. Who really trusts anyone!?zizzi schrieb:
Unfortunately, I don’t have the name in mind Alternatively, you could check on Amazon to get an idea of what reasonable hardware costs. Satellite technology has been around for quite a few years now and isn’t exactly rocket science anymore, so you should be able to find decent equipment with a modest investment.
Then compare the price of your Elis to that and ask yourself (or the seller) where the difference is going. To me, it sounds like a significant portion is going into someone’s own pocket.
