House 110 sqm (1184 sq ft), bungalow. So, one level. Drywall ceiling, plastered walls; in the bathrooms lime-cement plaster, elsewhere gypsum plaster with lime content. Painting work includes filling, sanding, painter’s fleece, primer, and lightly tinted or white emulsion paint. In the bathrooms, fiberglass mesh over tiles on the walls, painted white with latex paint. Eaves painted with brackets. Quote 3800 gross. Is this ok?

Ask a second professional, then you will know where the 3.8 are.

Otherwise, that already sounds realistic.

Actually, I want to work with him because he is very meticulous. That’s why I didn’t want to bother a second person. Karsten

You can still request a second offer to see how the pricing compares. However, if you decide to go with that one, you’ll either have to accept their price or choose another provider.

The question is what quality is actually being applied to the wall for the price.

Let’s put it this way: what material quality have you agreed on or been guaranteed?

For example, I could take Caparol DIN for €30 per bucket, or Indeko plus for €79 for the same container size. Of course, there’s also IndekoGeo for the environmentally conscious at €123 (but we’ll leave that aside).

It’s a legitimate company, not an unlicensed worker. They will definitely use good quality paint; otherwise, they would be making things difficult for themselves.
