ᐅ Wooden Garden Shed: Roofing Felt Instead of Damp-Proof Membrane?

I have a log cabin garden shed that I would like to set up spontaneously tomorrow. The foundation is made of patio slabs, and I do not want to install an additional floor, so I plan to place it directly on top.
I have read that in such a case, a damp-proof membrane should be laid down, and the first beams placed on it. The hardware store is now closed, though. Can I also use roofing felt? Is that equally suitable?

There should be rubber underneath; it is available at any hardware store.

Okay, more like this:

Brown pillar on gray foundation slab with blue line – simple construction drawing representation.

The drip edge in blue, the damp-proof membrane in black.
I was thinking of something like this:

Silver aluminum angle profile in L-shape, 250mm (10 inches) leg, 2000mm (79 inches) length

@Bookstar: What kind of rubber?

Here lies the problem!

Just search for washing machine underlay; you can already find perfectly cut ones at Hornbach. This way, it won’t stand in water and is ventilated underneath.

Alright, I’ll give that a try. Do I still need the drip edge, or is it enough if I cut the mat only 3cm (1¼ inches) wide and the wall, which is 4.4cm (1¾ inches) wide, slightly overlaps it?
