The tape fully meets the requirements of the RAL standard for window installation—provided it is used correctly!
For this, however, the unit MUST be secured in the setup area using special spacer screws, and not with the "standard" method of sand-lime bricks/wedges.
Therefore, your installation constitutes a construction defect—or, as you so aptly put it, poor workmanship. Inform your site manager, who unfortunately has no knowledge of this product, by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, and demand that this defect be rectified immediately.
