We have already created our own floor plans. But who will now prepare the design plan, planning permission documents, application plan, and construction plan so that we can request quotes from different building companies? What alternatives are there to hiring an architect?

With "hardly any knowledge," you will 1. make planning mistakes yourselves and 2. be unable to properly identify planning errors made by others. Because of 1., the option to "go to a builder with your own plan" is not viable, since the person preparing the application documents on the builder’s side will only correct your plan where it would not be approved (they will leave mistakes that do not prevent approval). Because of 2., the option to "have the builder suggest a design" will, at best, be mediocre, since you will not be able to recognize potential quality issues clearly enough.It’s best to start by sharing your plan(s) here. This forum not only has people who enjoy helping with planning (often with frank feedback) but also many who have building experience themselves or have recently gained it.
