Hello dear building forum members,
I chose the "Current Topics" section because my question doesn’t fit anywhere else.

For the topping-out ceremony, the developer is organizing a quiz with the request:
please bring the well-known "house bearer" (what could that be?)
Whoever brings the correct "house bearer" wins!!!!
I would like to be that person, so here is my question to you: does anyone know what this term means?

Best regards from Peter.

Although I have been working in the industry for many years, I have never heard the term before.

Well, Wabe, that’s the problem. Still, thanks for the reply!
I’m attaching the original text as an image, maybe other users can make sense of it.

By the way – the term can’t be found on Google, Wikipedia, or any online encyclopedias 😡

Regards from Pewter.

Hello,
I still can’t figure it out, but keep thinking about it and please let me know if you do—I’m curious now too.

It’s definitely something like the base ladder painters use :p

Hello Leo,
that could be right 😀 which is why I didn’t bother with a dictionary!
Unfortunately, I’m not a tradesperson, so no insider knowledge 🙄.
Well, I’m hoping for more tips from you all.

Best regards,
Peter.

Hello,

why not try a crate of beer 😉 after all, it has been carrying the house from the very beginning, if I can trust my brother (bricklayer).
