Hello everyone,
I’m planning to assemble several Billy bookcases from IKEA soon and want to prepare as best as possible. I have a question: What tools or aids would you recommend to make assembling the Billy bookcases easier and more efficient?
I’m especially interested in useful hand tools, practical tips during assembly, and possibly any special accessories that make the process safer or faster.
I already have a cordless drill and a hammer, but what other tools or aids are actually helpful?
Thanks for your experiences and advice!

Additionally, I recommend using a spirit level to ensure the shelf is perfectly level after assembly. This is an important point I would like to add. Especially with BILLY shelves, slight unevenness often occurs after assembly, which can be avoided by careful alignment beforehand.
Furthermore, I suggest using a small flathead screwdriver to install the back panel, as the nails are often difficult to drive in precisely with a hammer.
