Hello everyone,
I am planning to install my kitchen soon using IKEA Metod and want to make the process as fast and efficient as possible. Therefore, I have a question for the community: Which tools are truly useful for the quick and smooth assembly of IKEA Metod kitchens?
I am particularly interested in recommendations that cover not only the cabinet assembly but also the installation of individual components such as fronts, fittings, and countertops. Additionally, I would appreciate tips on which tools can help avoid common mistakes or significantly ease the work.
I already have basic tools like a cordless drill and a spirit level, but maybe there are special tools that I haven’t considered yet and that prove to be a real time saver in practice.
I look forward to your experiences and recommendations!

I think it’s also important to prepare for height and depth adjustments of the cabinets. A small wrench or Allen key that fits the Metod fittings is essential.
A cordless drill with a depth stop is useful, but without a good tape measure and a second smaller spirit level (bubble level), it’s difficult to align the edges precisely.
One small tip: before assembly, sort the included screws in advance and quickly review the assembly instructions. I saved a lot of time and avoided frustration by doing this in practice.
What I regretted afterwards was not using extra clamps – especially when working alone, these can quickly become very helpful.
