ᐅ Which side is the lying side for IKEA cold foam mattresses – quilted or smooth?

I bought a cold foam mattress from IKEA and only noticed today that it has two different sides. One side is smooth, and the other has what I would call square patterns embossed on it. Which side should you sleep on? And what is the purpose of that? ^^

Hello,

we bought a Finnvik yesterday. It has that memory foam layer on top.

I would like to make sure it is positioned correctly. The zipper is now on the top edge. It doesn’t have a Sultan label, as mentioned here.

Can someone help me or does anyone else have this mattress?

With the Fnnvik, finding the side is very easy. Just open the zipper slightly and look at the layers. The thinner of the two is the thermal insulation foam and should face upwards.

Thank you, the issue has been resolved.

We went to Ikea again...
The mattress was actually placed the wrong way around because it had been rolled up incorrectly.

But now everything is fine.
