ᐅ Which series is better, Ikea Billy or Ikea Besta?

I am actually planning to buy Besta shelves. I really like them a lot. However, you don’t read much positive feedback about the quality online. The general opinion is that they are cheap particleboard with a veneer on top. Is the quality really that bad, and would Billy be of higher quality?
