Hello dear forum members,

Our new build is about to start soon. Now I have to decide between installing insulation between rafters as full rafter insulation (glass wool) or using blown-in cellulose insulation. The quote for the insulation between rafters is generally higher.

If you had to choose between these options, how would you insulate your attic space?
Thank you in advance for your input!
Best regards,

Between-rafter insulation. That way, I at least know there is insulation everywhere.

We have blown-in insulation. It is certified and must be installed by a professional company. We didn’t want an external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS) with plastic materials... we only use cellulose insulation and wood fiber boards.

If executed professionally, both alternatives are equally effective.
