Hello everyone,

we are currently deciding on granite interior window sills and are unsure which option will look best in the long run and also be easy to maintain (keyword dust!).

I would appreciate it if you could share which granite window sill you have chosen for indoors (interior window sill). Experiences, model names, and photos of your windows are very welcome. I understand this is quite personal. We are simply trying to find out what you have chosen, more or less for inspiration. So, show us your windows (sills) 🙂

Actually, parquet flooring… hmm… maybe we should stop by the stonemason again 😉

We used flame-treated and, if I remember correctly, brushed material for the kitchen and living room floors. It has some slight unevenness, but it’s great to walk on barefoot. I find completely smooth floors terribly boring and they always look a bit like a showroom.

Kind regards,

For the anthracite-colored wooden windows, we chose Hauzenberger granite, polished and with minimal grain.

As mentioned before, it has to suit your taste! Wood and stone are two different materials. Using rough stone as a windowsill and polished tiles for the floor creates a very different effect.

Everything just has to work together overall! The finishing touch comes from furniture and plants.

We visited the stonemason again, and that was definitely the right decision. We have now chosen Bianco Neve and feel much more comfortable with it 🙂

We chose brushed Nero Assoluto for the exterior of our anthracite-colored windows.

Inside, we went with Verde Maritaca paired with off-white windows 😉
