we need to plant a really long hedge (about 3 x 30 m (10 x 98 ft)). It should be a bird-friendly hedge, so native shrubs. Does anyone have any ideas where I can buy a large quantity of plants at a good price? Preferably online, of course.

For hornbeam, €1.73 per plant at 80–100cm (31–39 inches) is quite high. I paid €1.20 per plant for 120–150cm (47–59 inches) tall plants at a nursery nearby...
At another nursery, 100–120cm (39–47 inches) plants would have cost only €0.88, but that nursery didn’t have 120–150cm plants available at the time.
So for plants, I would recommend checking locally...
